Waylan Heers is a Senior Associate, Investments with SURMOUNT. Waylan joined SURMOUNT in 2026 and specializes in advising developers, operators, franchisees, private investors, and family offices in the acquisition and disposition of net lease investment properties nationwide.

For a majority of his career, Waylan worked with Marcus & Millichap’s Net Lease Advisory Group where he personally closed 25 transactions totaling ~$99 million in sales volume across 11 states and was involved in more than 700 transactions and $2.3 billion in total sales volume completed by his team. His experience includes new construction, sale leaseback, second-generation, and portfolio transactions.

Prior to joining SURMOUNT, Waylan spent nearly a decade in the commercial real estate industry with roles spanning brokerage, operations, principal investments, and development providing him with a unique perspective and approach to the business. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Waylan lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and their dog, Nash.
