Brett Lichtenberg is the Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy at Surmount. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has been an integral member of the management team, partnering closely with senior leadership to scale the business and build the organizational and operational infrastructure needed to support growth. He oversees key strategic initiatives, drives cross-functional execution, and helps ensure alignment across Surmount’s expanding platform.

Previously, Brett was Director of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the Chairman of UBS Global Wealth Management. In that role, he supported the executive leadership team on business development and growth initiatives, led strategic projects to strengthen the division’s competitive position, and oversaw critical operations to improve efficiency and coordination across the business.

Brett holds a degree in Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.
